THE LAST SCENE?
The end is near. This is supposedly the ending, but I just feel since it is so long, it feels like a dream or perhaps something else will happen. And what is the significance at ending it at night? So gloomy. I don't know. In 2 hours we shall know.



WHEN HQG OUGHTA KNOW BZH IS IN LOVE/LUST WITH HER
The scar! Probably after the kissing scene. I am very annoyed how weak shifu is, so much tears. This reminds me of Tales From Earthsea when our hero is stripped off his powers and he became a house husband. Seriously, sex for him that sort. TRUE! I hate BZH is reduced to like this. Love is supposed to empower, not to belittle. I am convinced they're not meant to be together. And I can't see how after all the stuff she can go back to girly voice and says shifu like some role play unless she has amnesia and I hate that because she can't forget people's sacrifice for her. Well good for them I suppose. Sexy times ahead. Is this love? Is BZH in love or he is in love with the idea of not losing her and so decided well might as well? And if he is in love, his behaviour is like a child who doesn't want! DOESN'T WANT!!

LAST BATCH PROBABLY
The end is tonight. And so here are the last batch of future scenes...

Oh so beautiful. Wallace looking gorgeous here, like a beautiful pale woman. It is a compliment. No sign of that passionate kiss. There is no physical contact between these two except hugs in accordance to this series. The editing and the rushed episodes is quite simply killing this probably well made series. Now it just seems BZH is stubborn as hell, still calling himself her shifu so frankly it is as if he had never been in love with her but the scar and all are just purely sexual desire. HQG is just emo and all. What a way to kill the story. BZH is reduced to cry cry cry. If not for my greatest affection for Wallace Huo and the fact I followed from beginning, frankly at this point this series gets a D from me. It is not the directors' fault. I suspect censorship, HunanTV and their rush for Yuzheng's next greatest sin. And this is their golden goose, ratings winner, I only heard of extending series because of good ratings and this one is tops and is the only one where it is rushed to the end. Does it make sense to you?

And more pictures of the final battle and assuming her death. That's Mingsheng Sword, that can kill and destroy everything and no return from that. So to have BZH use it is a bit too much. But to have HQG make BZH kill her is as cruel.

TRANSLATED PREVIEWS
Since this series is ending today, I might as well embarrass myself by attempting to translate the previews. Not exact but in meaning and some I couldn't hear so I put the note about not being sure. But the rest I am quite sure.

EPISODE 58 

HQG : So you especially rushed here personally to stop this, is it because you couldn't bear to see me die? Why don't we elope and I don't be the demon god and you could stop being the leader of changliu and we turn our backs from the world.. how about it?

BZH : Now is the time to prioritise the more urgent matters, don't lie to yourself anymore

HQG : The one who is lying to himself is you! Are you telling me you don't desire me?

BZH : (longest walk ever) Go and return (or you go back but it depends on the context on what they're doing there he could mean please return to how you were)

HQG : I want you to tell everyone how you have that scar on your hands! *not sure* Why did you cut your flesh and still wish to return? *not sure* Who do you actually love? Say it! Say it and I will spare everyone!


BZH : *sigh*

EPISODE 57-58

HQG : He is the world's gentlest person, and yet he is also the world's most heartless person

BZH : Does it matter if I love you? Does it matter if I don't love you? We can never be together, ever.

SXM (?) : *first part not sure* why do you keep stopping yourself from loving her?

HQG : Even if he is not in love with me, as long as he gives me some attention, as long as he lets me look (at him even for just a while), even if just for one glance, even if I were to die, I will die contented.

WALLACE AS BZH IN VIDEO!!

Finally, one I can almost hear BZH in his original voice but so soft. I don't even know why they bother with the microphone anyway. You can also see the GIF which we often see him like tumbling and fainting, was really soon after he had to hang high on wires. Not because he had difficulty in walking. But you can see how uncomfortable he looks which is followed by his usual reaction of tongue in his mouth action.

The translation below is taken from fan Facebook account, Wallace Huo Info Page;

“Zhao Liying is suitable to play Hua Qiangu. Her strong personality is similar to Hua Qiangu. We don’t have any difficulty acting together."

He died a valiant death, protecting the woman he grew to love in trying to redeem himself after many times betraying her trust. In the end, he died a good man in the arms of the woman who has long since forgiven him. He shall be missed!

He died having used all his internal energy to free the little sister he affectionately called Little Thing, who in turn has taught him about compassion and letting down the sword. HOW DOES BZH LOSSES HIS IMMORTALITY AND GAINED IT BACK

Book version.

I read he lost his immortality and became mortal when HQG broke the seal he put on her when he tried to hide the fact she had the Demon God power in her. When HQG was so grief stricken by the death of those she holds dear, she broke the seal and became Demon God. That was when BZH loss all his power. He can still fight and all but he is now mortal as in no longer immortal.

I read he gained back his immortality by kissing HQG before her death, drinking her blood. So he became immortal again. But remember even immortals can be killed. Immortal means you live forever, won't age unless you get killed. In her dying moments she used her goddess power to curse him to a truly immortal status, meaning he won't die  no matter what. He won't age plus nothing can harm him. So he can't even kill himself.

TV version.

I read it will be different, of course.

Rumours has it BZH gaining his immortality back is thanks to Zixun. I don't see how that is done so we shall see! As for the curse, it won't happen. But maybe it will in a different form.

HOW IS HQG REVIVED AT THE END
Book version.

She got stabbed by Mingsheng Sword and supposedly her soul, everything is gone. But SQM saved a sliver of her dispersed soul. BZH went mad for either 30 or 300 years, depending on which sadistic version you are following looking for HQG and even killing innocent people that people got very scared of him and when he knew SQM had a fragment of her soul, he went in search of SQM to beg SQM to release that soul to be reincarnated. Something like that. What we have then is HQG now dumb or not all there  ad bullied and BZH adopted her as his disciple again and they were together again and contented and afraid one day she might remember her past because before her death she wished she had never fallen in love with him. In many epilogues, one of which I feel if this series was properly shown may have used that ending got to do with a reincarnated DFYQ (who in the book can't live past 25 years old and will be reincarnated with all memories of previous lives intact) and HQG gaining her memory or something like that. Not sure. Point is BZH and HQG will end up together.

TV version.

Rumours has it HQG's revival has something to do with Mo Yan and I hope it is true although I don't see how. HQG did die but no curse, no soul dispersed and definitely no reincarnation. Apparently Mo Yan will sacrifice himself to revive HQG who had no memories and so retire happily with BZH. I hate the no memories part. As if everyone who had sacrificed for her didn't matter as long as she gets to kiss and hug and sleep with BZH as husband and wife. Sorry that's how I feel. I hope she gets her memory back and CHOOSE to stay with BZH. And if Mo Yan does sacrifice himself .. well I posted the following in the forum for the logic of this ending:-

I suppose.. and I never read the book but series wise.. he feels paternal but he is wrong about his feelings which is beyond paternal. he feels responsible for her, blamed himself for whatever she is, whatever she had done,w hatever she had to endure, so he was willing to take on her suffering with her but due to his principle and position, he can't be living with her because remember, at this point he feels he is her shifu and no more.

Much like No That I Love Ceaser less But I Love Rome More aka Not that I love Xiaogu less, but I love changliu more. He can't do things that is gonna be against changliu and if he does live with her, imagine what mo yan and other sects will do. They will attack Changliu and will charge to kill HQG, etc.

So I get him. What I don't get is why don't just prior to the nail punishment just let her run away with SQM? DFYQ is not powerful enough to fight all sects, SQM can do it. Even if HQG doesn't want to, he can just stab her with his sword (lightly) and throw her out. And yet he can't do it. He can't even disown her openly.

His compassion misled him. His kindness hurt him. Now his love will ruin him.

He still cares too much what others think. At the end his way of happiness is to disregard everybody else, to turn his back from the world, to turn his back from his 1000 years of cultivation and order in life and his love for changliu and leave with HQG. NOW that is extreme but I suppose if the spoilers are true with MY doing the sacrifice, in the end if he got the approval of the one guy who is dead set against them, that is his pass to leave changliu. Maybe MY will realise if he had not pushed ZR's mom away (or kill her or whatever) he would be less grumpy so maybe his last words will be

"Zihua, I was a fool. Do as your heart desires. Don't worry about Changliu. Find your own path, your own happiness" and DIE!

If the spoilers are wrong, then I am interested to know the growing list of questions;

1. how to solves BZH's mortality back to immortality

2. how to revive HQG (and please stop with the nonsense loss of memory-what an insult to all who sacrificed for her. She is not the most pitiful person)

3. New question. to to  make BZH's exit from changliu justified; with approval, and without just turning his back on the world. Key is I believe Mo Yan perhaps. I don't know. Love isn't everything. The idea to allow BZH to exit Changliu must be graceful and justified if not I will lose all respect for him.

It has to be graceful, graceful means without hate, without anger, without regrets, without being forced to choose sides that he is allowed to go. I think SXM can give him that go ahead but none more powerful than that of MY's approval. So I like the idea of MY being the catalyst but I am not sure who he will revive HQG in the process. So series gotta explain! If this is true. No fans will blame BZH from just leaving. That's what they want him to do. But I like a better ending where the idea is he can retire happily and unretire one day and the only way is to leave changliu with consent.

EPISODE 38

The following is a semi recap plus review plus opinion on the specific episodes, emphasising more on the review than the recap. Spoilers alert and highly opinionated. Read at your peril.

There are quite  a few great quotes to choose from in this episode, one I believe is SQM's signature quote that was famous in the book. But I decided to go for the less dramatic but pivotal line that will explain BZH's subsequent actions in subsequent episodes, simply because many ignores BZH's sacrifice and focused only on HQG's sacrifice when BZH sacrificed as much if  not more than HQG.

Shifu, my fated calamity has arrived. I don't know if my decision is right or wrong. I need to protect the world but... I also need to protect my disciple - BZH

So remember, whatever BZH does after this, is to preserve HQG's life even if she has a death wish, just like her beloved. I am not ashamed to admit I am Camp BZH. I in fact blame HQG for most of his dilemmas. Without her, he has no dilemma.

This episode is not long but has a lot of dialogue all said in the mind or to oneself. It is the next episode that is devastating but then we have been preparing ourselves. However some funny mistake in here, much like the one where they were in the Cauldron during the famous wedding scene.

Zihua, to you am I not even worth your attention like any Changliu's disciple? At least to them you have some sense of responsibility. Me? I am but a burden to you. Do you know, for someone with such a  big heart that loves the world, you are actually the most heartless being. Maybe if it is about HQG you will react a bit differently. If she knows her position in your heart is a little different from the rest, even if it means death, she will do so willingly for you - Zixun

I finally caught up with the latest episode!! Exciting 2 episodes, lots of revelation, and an end to many things, from lives to poisoned state (hurray!!) to perhaps the realm of men! But first, one final look at the poisoned state of shifu #7 (Episode 35);

Can you believe it? 7 long episodes... technically 8 episodes long because he was still poisoned in Episode 36 until half way but he looked better in episode 36 after trio combo power to give him a momentary control over his poison thanks to Mo Yan, SXM and ZX and guess who he spent his very LAST day of mortality on? HQG, and rescuing her. Joke is she rescued him.

Anyway let's recap episode 35 first, which is the start of the many deaths of characters we are familiar with.
