Who is he

Most beautiful man of all realms, he is the Lord of The Demons/Underworld, whether self proclaimed or actually sat in  a test for it, I do not know. He rules from a dark cave and can go everywhere and no one bothers him at all. And he can cross dress and no one bothers to ask "How come you dress like a girl" and till ep 12, did not really explain if he is also in love with BZH.

(Un)official title

The big brother, protector of HQG, a role that HQG at times doesn't seem to care for. I mean SQM will tell her to leave with her (HQG thought he was a she at first and would quite simply hug a stranger whom she doesn't know who on earth is that and I assume in this world, everyone can fly around and fight and such so whatever SQM is doing never ever makes HQG asks, WHO IS SHE?) but everything our SQM suggests, HQG always say no. Not very appreciative person. Again if HQG have left with SQM, the tragedy wouldn't have happened.

You know what, blame HQG. So many chances and she squandered all of it. BZH is meant to suffer.

Physical Traits

In the series, very tall, willowy thin, heavy but tasteful makeup and yes, very beautiful. And graceful too, and has exquisite taste in clothings but a total fail in interior decoration. For all the taste in fashion, the house is a dud. And also big fail in choosing disciples.

Mental Traits

Perhaps the most clear minded person of all realms, whose affection for HQG was genuine in the sense right now it isn't sexual but rather sibling love. He doesn't ask for anything in return and promises multiple times to help HQG and is genuinely concerned for her thus making him the sincerest "bad guy" around.

Fashion, make up, freedom to roam, teasing BZH and HQG

Dislikes

Being handed a victory. He likes to fight for what he wants and not have it stolen or cheated or whatever. Sorta honourable but really he is just too confident and quite egoistic.

Love Connection

None from what I can see. Love is so not fashionable, ya know?

Rule right, rule fair, be free from the hypocrisy of the world and be forever beautiful and youthful.

Rarer than a hero having a salaried job in wuxia realms

Is he paid allowance or what? Where he got cash for all those nice clothes? What does  being Lord Of Demons entail? I don't see him surrounded by demons.

Bestest Thing Ever Done

Promising to punish those who hurt his HQG. Also stopping the would be war at Shou Shan or however you spell it because he is grateful for the deceased leader sect for once saving his life. Exactly how, the series never bothered to explain. In fact who is Sha Qianmo? No explanation, series just too busy showing us the love but none the background. And punishing that ugly disciples.

Worst Thing Ever Done

By not actually killing his ugly disciples. For someone so smart and all, he fails at choosing a disciple. All scared of him but yet never hesitate to do things behind his back.

Stupidest Scripted Moment

At ep 12, letting his disciples live when they're traitors in the making.

Usual Quote

To HQG "Leave this world, come with me, let's live free and I can take care of you" to which HQG ALWAYS scoff the idea, in a nice way and so he will end up saying "Oh ok, if that's what you want" to which I will always end up saying "THAT IS WHAT SHE WANTS!"

Burning questions

Who is Sha Qianmo?

Don't know. Only know he had a younger sister who died by killing herself because big bro wouldn't choose her over his evil plans if I remember correctly. Not because he is a cross dresser.

Will he fall for HQG?

No.

Will he fall for BZH?

One could wish though trailer did show him flirting with BZH so I can see some attraction there.

Is HQG ever in love with him?

No.

What will happen to him?

Read the summary and it isn't a happy one although he plays an important role in the eventual ending of HQG and BZH in a positive way. Anyway he did lose his most proud and prized possession; his beauty all because of HQG. That HQG really is a "broom star".

What should happen to him?

Reborn a woman and marry BZH.

Is TV version same as Book version?

I wonder too. From the summaries, SQM seems like a decent fella despite the nametag belonging to some evil cult. This is like Jinyong style; demi god and semi devil.
